I've had the pleasure of having a digital subscription to TFH for the last two months, and I must say: I've been enjoying it. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the magazine 'type', for lack of a better expression. To give you an idea about my reluctance to subscribe to print magazines, I've written for several, and purposely subscribed to none! However, I've been an avid reader of Advanced Aquarist (a superb online saltwater aquarium magazine) since its inception, but any magazine in print is out of site, out of mind! However, when TFH was offering $1 digital subscriptions on Earth Day, I thought "what the heck, if it's online, I'll read it" - and I have.
TFH digital is neat, and very convenient! The articles are sometimes accompanied by videos and other goodies, and as the magazine is presented in digital format online, you can catch up on the latest issue anywhere, from your PC to your phone.
I expected the digital issue to be in Adobe PDF format, and was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong: TFH digital has it's own viewing and navigation system that's very easy to use. A simple drop down system allows you to visit your favorite columns to read new features in seconds, with no scrolling! A must-have, in my book - I hate PDF files!
TFH digital has now been added to my regular 'fishy' reading, a list that also includes Advanced Aquarist and Coral Magazine. Check out a free sample issue at www.tfhdigital.com, you won't regret it!
I read Tropical Fish Hobbyist and I love it.
