On rare occasion in his hobby a few things pop up that make you scratch your head and drop your jaw, and as fortune would have it last week Monday one of those days. While unpacking some corals from Indonesia this colony of Australomussa rowleyensis popped out, and I still have no clue how this happened in nature.
No matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find any indication of this being two separate colonies that had grown into each other; they just melt seamlessly from one color to the next. Even upon closer inspection I was still lost, but that just goes to show that this hobby is still full of surprises!
